A list of things theists get wrong about atheists
The following list was created when atheists in Facebook atheist groups responded to the question: "What do theists tend to get wrong about atheism?"
If you are a theist reading this list and you think that any of these are true (they aren't), consider asking an atheist about the truth.
1. That atheism is a belief system.
2. That atheists have no morals.
3. That atheists are angry at God.
4. That atheism is a religion.
5. That atheists worship Satan.
6. That atheists need religion to have morals.
7. That atheists have no purpose in life.
8. That atheists can't experience wonder or awe.
9. That atheists haven't heard of Jesus.
10. That atheists choose atheism without research or study.
11. That atheists have the "faith of science."
12. That atheists are inherently bad people.
13. That atheists are close-minded.
14. That atheists are organizing against theists.
15. That atheists are "just as bad" or the "opposite."
16. That atheists give a sh*t about their ideas.
17. That atheists are unimpressed by religious proclamations.
18. That atheists judge theists for believing.
19. That atheists care about going to heaven or hell.
20. That atheists need to be preached at.
21. That atheists are an evil force determined to counter God's goodness.
22. That atheists are liars because they don't accept religious claims as truth without substantiation.

24. That atheists think prayer works, no matter what they think.
25. That atheists care where their religion would send them in the afterlife.
26. That atheists have an "Atheist Bible" and secret Atheist churches.
27. That atheists think alike about everything.

29. That atheists need everyone to pray for them.

40. That if theists can somehow disprove or discredit scientific theories, atheists will conclude God.
41. That atheists believe in devils, and don't realize those are connected to belief in deities.
42. That atheism says there is no god.
43. That atheists worship the devil or eat babies.
44. That all atheists want to debate the existence of God.
